Arrival by public transport – entrance ticket as public transport ticket
Arrive at ZÜRICH OPENAIR quickly and easily thanks to the excellent public transport network. Glattbrugg and Opfikon station and Bäuler tram stop are just a few minutes on foot from the festival site. The entrance ticket provides travel to and from the festival on trains, buses and trams within the Zürich Transport Network ZVV (zones 110 and 121) and covers the night supplement. Important: Keep your ticket safe for the return journey (valid until 6 am on the following day) and make sure you can show your ticket if asked to do so.

Return journey by public transport / extra trains
A number of extra trains will be laid-on from Glattbrugg station (usually at 30-minute intervals) to Oerlikon, Hardbrücke and Zürich main station until the early morning hours. All train connections are published in the ZVV online timetable.

Arrival by car
If, despite the excellent public transport network services, you still want to arrive by car, please use the car parks (spaces are not free of charge) at the airport (please refer to the information under Arrival from Zürich Airport) or other public car parks. Parking is forbidden on all private car parks around the festival site and all illegally parked vehicles will be towed away.

Entrance

Our top priority is to ensure a pleasant and, above all, unforgettable, ZÜRICH OPENAIR experience. This obviously starts before entry at the wristband exchange points. To allow you to gain access to the site as quickly as possible we have erected various entry gates, which will be manned by festival staff. But we also need your help to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible; so please observe the following points!

Wristband exchange
Festival tickets are exchanged for a festival wristband when entering the festival site. You will be fitted with a wristband and your wristband must be worn at all times during the festival. Damaged or loose wristbands will not be accepted and lost wristbands cannot be replaced.

Age restrictions and checks
– Children under the age of 12 –
It goes without saying that children under the age of 12 are welcome to join in the fun at ZÜRICH OPENAIR and go free when accompanied by their parents. Please remember to bring along valid ID documents! We also recommend packing some ear plugs/defenders for younger children.

– Entrance for minors –
Festival-goers under the age of 16 require permission from their parents. The relevant form can be downloaded HERE. To avoid any delays at the entrance, please present the completed form without being requested to do so at the wristband exchange points.

ID check
Age checks will be carried out at the wristband exchange points (+16 /+18) – please note that you will not be allowed onto the site without an official identification document, such as an ID card, passport or driving licence. Please also note that GA travelcards, Half-fare travelcards and student ID cards do not count as official ID documents.

Personalised VIP Tickets: VIP guests also require an official identification document to enter the festival site.
