The Artist Duo, that constructed out ZÜRICH OPENAIR 2022 pattern – and thus provided a great base for all additional designs, that originated from the pattern.

We want to present you Charlotte and Dan, together Art + Believe, from Great Britain and give you some insight, into their work and designs for ZOA 2022.

The Artist Duo Art + Believe ist known for bringing bold, geometric designs to cityscapes around the world. Their inspiration comes from our travels and the different cultures they have visited. They have painted everything from Palaces, tower blocks, roof tops, interiors, stairwells, basketball courts, bus stops, trains to full size buses! The team is always looking to push the boundaries of where art is possible and to bring as much colour and energy to a space.

We first started working with ZOA last year so it’s been a real journey to where we are now. We’re so excited to be part of the festival and to create something fresh, new and exciting.

Early stages of our design for ZOA began with pyramid shaped structures framed with linear outlines, inspired by tribal symbols and traditional woven textiles from Latin America. These concepts later developed into more abstract designs, where we experimented with blocks, layering and the blending of colours. The final design is a bright, bold, geometric, artwork that is fun and inclusive to all.
