SDP is coming to Switzerland for a concert at ZÜRICH OPENAIR.
No other German band achieves such a shameless fusion of genres. On SDP’s ninth studio album “Die Unendlichste Geschichte”, which will be released on March 1, 2019, musical worlds collide not only overall, but also within some of the songs. The first single “Illegale Hobbys” skillfully blends German punk rock in the tradition of doctors with dancehall elements and a certain rap attitude. The lyrics are not just entertainment and skillful wordplay but, as is (almost) always the case with SDP, also trenchant in terms of content. For genre fetishists and people who take themselves and their world too seriously and think within narrow musical boundaries, SDP remain a nightmare – and the guys like that very much. The incredible power and attention to detail with which their live show thrilled over 130,000 people on their last tour has also been maintained in their studio work. With over 350 million views on YouTube, countless headlining slots at all the major festivals and their status as one of the most successful German bands in the streaming sector, it is clear that there is currently only one way forward for SDP: Steeply upwards.
