Lo & Leduc are a Swiss dialect pop duo from Bern, consisting of Lorenz Häberli and Luc Oggier. They had their breakthrough in 2014 with the album Zucker fürs Volk. Lo & Leduc met each other at the Bernese dialect ensemble Pacomé, which was formed in mid-2005. When Luc Oggier, singer and rapper of the many-member band, dropped out for six months in 2007 due to vocal problems, Lorenz Häberli stepped in as a replacement and remained a permanent member thereafter. When Pacomé released its first album in 2009, there were still so many songs left that the two rappers, then still known as Lo & Luc, released their own album on the side, entitled Update 1.0, as a free download. In 2012, planning began for the first commercial album by Lo & Leduc, who were both studying German and history in addition to music. Finally, it became a collaboration with Dodo as producer, who had already worked successfully with Steff la Cheffe. In March 2018, the final breakthrough came with the single 079. The song reached number 1 in the Swiss hit parade. In early August, they surpassed the previously existing record with 21 number 1 weeks. The song was also awarded 6-times platinum.
