The dream pop duo Phantogram from New York are Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel. Together they take the sound in an intriguing, darkly shaded direction constantly adding new textures to their signature style. Phantogram cleverly incorporate elements of rock, pop, hip hop and electro into their music creating their very own vibe. Their single „When I’m Small“ consists of a short sample and a single spark before the tune meets a groovy baseline such as Sara Barthel’s soft „Ooh“, making the whole song complete. Their first album „Eyelid Movies“ created a huge buzz among fans and critics because of the futuristic and spherical soundscapes. Since the release of „Voices“ in 2014 the duo has been touring around the world, playing live shows and festivals and featuring chart-topping guests reaching from A-Trak to Miley Cyrus. With their good friend and so-called musical partner in crime Big Boi from Outcast they collaborated for the project „Big Grams“ and released a self-titled EP with a feature from Skrillex. Their critically acclaimed album „Three“ represents a new creative peak that the duo has been building towards for nearly a decade. „Three“ displays a surging energy and appealing experimentation, effectively showcasing a band reaching for and achieving new aesthetic heights.
